Join us for a woodland Midsummer Open Ritual..in the woods near Croydon… to mark the height of the Sun in its journey through the skies. Is it all downhill from here onwards? No.. Midsummer celebrates the culmination of our personal energies.. the charging up of them..so that our inner wisdom and light can illuminate us through the coming autumn & winter months.
In this simple yet deep magical woodland ceremony, we will create sacred space & altar in the name of Cernunnos – Lord of the Wild Beasts… weave the powers of the 4 elements (Air, Fire, Water & Earth).. work with some power (Solar) Runes to create talismans for personal use…and then join in some merriment, feasting, drumming & socials.

Meeting arrangements:
Tram Stop: Coombe Lane. Please travel to East Croydon.. Then take the Tram to Coombe Lane.. Alight there and wait. We’ll come collect you and take you to a part of the woods where ritual will take place. (the spot may vary on the day..so please wait at the tram stop..Thanks).
Safety: Please note the woodland path is NOT smooth..and has steep sections.. This is not suitable for anyone with bad backs, walking difficulty etc. There are no toilets/ cafes/ car parks.. So bring anything you will need..
Bring personal comfy items.. blankets/ rain coat/ cushion to sit on/ a small plastic or picnic ground sheet to sit on (if floor is cold/ wet).
Hern’s Tribe was founded in 2004 and has been doing these woodland rituals regularly. This Midsummer ritual marks a big turning point.. as we conclude an era of woodland seasonal rituals…and open the ways to other more unique monthly rituals & magical explorations..
