The partial Solar Eclipse of 11th August falls at 10.59am in the firey sign of Leo the Lion! And back in 2013, we created a Sekhmet statue from Thames clay and after ceremony, submerged her in the river. Finally we are keeping our promise..and on this Solar Eclipse Day in Leo, the submerged Sekhmet will rise!!!
Join us for a variety of magical working & socials through out this day. It’s going to be tricky trying to run this ..as we travel around London from place to place.. so please `rsvp’ to this event (even if you have a mild interest in one of more of the activities).. and stay updated – as we lead up to this event, and also on the day, as we travel from place to place.. so you can figure out where to meet/ join us. (you can just join us for the man morning work during actual Eclipse, or the evening ritual by Thames at low tide!).
1. Morning Solar Eclipse meditation with Yantra & Chant – for personal internal shift. > 9am meeting at Richmond station.
This takes place (tbc) at Richmond Park.
We’ll be meeting at Richmond Train station ..ticket foyer at 9am-9.15am (no later) and take bus to Richmond Park.. for the actual meditative/ magical working in a quiet open-spot (regardless of weather!! As energies is what we are working at exact moment of Eclipse). We’ll enter meditative work at 10.45am and be immersed in it during Eclipse at 10.59am. Work will conclude around 11.15am (includes star meditation and opening of cosmic portal). After this, we’ll have a short picnic/ lunch.. either in park or in Richmond town.
Some of us will then be travelling to British Museum.. via tube to Earl’s court, then piccadilly line to Holborn and walk from there to British Museum.
2. Visit to Sekhmet Statues at British Museum. > 2.30pm.
We’ll be meeting by the road-entrance/ gates to the British Museum at 2.30pm. Gather anyone else ..and go in for a short visit directly to the ground floor (entry then turn left) Egyptian section, where the triple Sekhmet statues from Egypt are displayed. There we’ll have a silent personal few moments..(as there will be public visitors too). We can take photos with the Lady herself.. to mark the visit.
After this, those carrying on, will walk to Tottenham Court Road tube station. We may stop for a coffee break. also may stop for snacks. From there, taking Northern line to Embankment.
3. Visit to Cleopatra’s Needle (Embankment)> 6pm.
We’ll arrive at Cleopatra’s needle at approx 6pm. (check meetup for updates/ delays). Here we’ll just spend a short while, marking the moment with photos .. with Cleopatra’s Needle & the 2 Sphinxes. It’s purely a social visit.
Then some of us will continue – back to tube, travel to Blackfriars. There we’ll probably stop at nearby supermarkets (tesco / sainsbury) for provisions (food & drinks for evening ceremony). And continue walking to Millenium Bridge and Tate Modern Gallery area.
4. Rise of Sekhmet- Ceremony by river bank (Tate Modern area) > 8pm onwards. Donations (£3) welcome.
We’ll be gathering by the river-side seats outside Tate Modern Gallery from 8pm. When all are gathered, we’ll be walking down the steps to river bank, under the usual ritual spot/ concrete walkway.. set up altar, and do our main Sekhmet Ceremony.
(details of this ceremony will be updated here in due course).
Low tide is at approx 21:39hrs BST. so we’re safe..and will finish up by 10pm. A larger hand-made sculpture of Sekhmet will be `raised from the river’ and processed to the Altar space, where ceremony will take place.
Note: Sekhment is Lion-headed warrior Goddess, as well as a Solar deity. So she is perfect for this day of Solar Eclipse in Leo.
Please rsvp to stay updated on this major full day of activities. Update will be in comment sections. Link to my meetup Rise of Sekhmet – Day of Eclipse-magical working

Peace Day background:
Few years ago I met Jeremy Gilley at a London Entrepreneur Meeting (He had just 5 minutes to tell everyone all about it. It turns out, he founded a non-profit organisation `Peace One Day’ in 1999, and campaigned for just 1 day of peace in war zones. In 2001, United Nations formally adopted the first ever annual day of global ceasefire and non-violence. So inspired by this – and having never heard of it till that moment, I decided to hold `Peace Day Picnics’ in London.. and have been doing son for few years now..)

Ganesh Chathurthi is a special festival that honors the birth of the Hindu elephant-headed god, Lord Ganesha (Ganapathy, Vinayagar). He is said to remove obstacles and bring good fortune.
Ananta Chaturdashi is the 10th and penultimate day of the great Ganesha Utsav or festival that begins with Vinayaka Chathurthi. At the end of this day, Lord Ganesh is given a grand farewell and the idols that were installed for the festival are carried to the nearby river, lake or sea front and immersed with a lot of devotion and fanfare.
I first did this ceremony last year (in 2015) by the river Thames, in Richmond, London, UK. There were about 5 of us. And a photojournalist friend. And to our pleasant surprise, we found that nearby (about 10 metres away)..a local Hindu community was also doing a much bigger scaled version ..immersing their Ganapathy statue in the Thames.
We waited till they had done their ceremony, then went to the water and immersed our Ganapathy.
So come join us this year (tomorrow).
- Date: Thursday 15th September 2016
- Time: 7pm to about 9pm
- Place: Terrace Garden area, Richmond, London
Here is a map of the area where we will be.

Dear all.. Happy New Year!
Let’s start the year with a bang.. some magical work for the City, and then a jolly celebration!!
This is a blend of 2 events – my own `River Thames Blessing’ (literally by the river banks..) and then, attending the Lions Part annual event `12th Night Celebrations’.
1. Blessing of the Thames (12pm to about 1.30pm)
We’ve been dong river-thames based rituals since 2006 (check our www.Tamesa.info for records). In 2015, we did NOT do the `Tamesa River of Souls Halloween’ (but did do the Isis rituals earlier).
I wanted to shift the emphasis…and decided that `Blessing the river’ is the way to go…for us Londoners.. cos the `River runs through our city’ 🙂 So join me around 12noon….for a very friendly and short `river blessing ceremony’ –
Details: Please get to Millennium Bridge (St.Pauls side).. and meet us ..at the beginning of the Millennium Bridge (end of `Peter’s Hill’). We’ll then walk down to the river banks (slippery… so do this at your own risk) for the ceremony.
ps. Low tide is at 1.33pm.. so we’ll be perfectly safe on the river banks just before that..!
Nearest tube: BlackFriars station or Mansion House. Then walk about 10minutes along Queen Victoria Street (one comes from left, other from right) to `Peter’s Hill’ (name of a small road). and head to Millennium Bridge.
2. Bankside 12th Night Celebrations. (2pm onwards)
This is an annual event facilitated by the Theatre company `Lionspart’ (in Autumn they run the `October plenty’ where we actually get to go into Shakespear’s Globe Theatre!).
Here’s some extracts about this event..
1. Holly Man arrives by boat along Thames.
2. The Ban Wassails – various blessings
3. The Mummers play (in the street )
4. Then then “lead the people in procession through the streets to the historic George Inn in Borough High Street for a fine warming up with Storytelling, the Kissing Wishing Tree and more Dancing.”
It’s all friendly and great fun.. (Just wrap up very warm..and bring raincoat in case in is a bit wet! This is England!!).
If you are joining only for this..(it’s a public event.. we are just attending it..) you can go ahead to the Globe Theatre area..or join us for river Blessing..and then continue to hang out with us..

Join us for a woodland Midsummer Open Ritual..in the woods near Croydon… to mark the height of the Sun in its journey through the skies. Is it all downhill from here onwards? No.. Midsummer celebrates the culmination of our personal energies.. the charging up of them..so that our inner wisdom and light can illuminate us through the coming autumn & winter months.
In this simple yet deep magical woodland ceremony, we will create sacred space & altar in the name of Cernunnos – Lord of the Wild Beasts… weave the powers of the 4 elements (Air, Fire, Water & Earth).. work with some power (Solar) Runes to create talismans for personal use…and then join in some merriment, feasting, drumming & socials.
• All welcome..
• No previous Ritual/pagan experience needed.
Tram Stop: Coombe Lane. Please travel to East Croydon.. Then take the Tram to Coombe Lane.. Alight there and wait. We’ll come collect you and take you to a part of the woods where ritual will take place. (the spot may vary on the day..so please wait at the tram stop..Thanks).
Safety: Please note the woodland path is NOT smooth..and has steep sections.. This is not suitable for anyone with bad backs, walking difficulty etc. There are no toilets/ cafes/ car parks.. So bring anything you will need..
Bring personal comfy items.. blankets/ rain coat/ cushion to sit on/ a small plastic or picnic ground sheet to sit on (if floor is cold/ wet).
Hern’s Tribe was founded in 2004 and has been doing these woodland rituals regularly. This Midsummer ritual marks a big turning point.. as we conclude an era of woodland seasonal rituals…and open the ways to other more unique monthly rituals & magical explorations..
May Hern protect us.
Hi All, here is the Spring Event that I will be personally facilitating, with Hern’s Tribe (woodland ritual group I founded some 11 yrs ago). So come Join us for the the afternoon/ evening in Richmond Great Park, where the Deer roams freely (living symbol of Hern the Horned God).. for celebrate Spring Equinox. It’s when the daylight hours equal the night hours… time of balance.. and when the Sun enters Aries – first sign of the Zodiac. We’ll be marking these magically in our ceremony, and do empowering magical work for the coming year!! – Bright Spring Blessings. – Mani
Date: Saturday 21st March 2015
Venue: Richmond Great Park.
Time: Meet-up by Richmond Gate (entrance to Richmond Park) by 2 pm. (post code : TW10 6RR)
Google map link: https://firstname.lastname@example.org,-0.2953595,18z?hl=en
Please get to Richmond Station (British Rail / Tube). Outside the station, take the bus 371 (going towards Richmond Hill). This goes past Richmond Gate/ Star & Garter Home. After about 10 minutes in bus, get down at the `American University’ stop…and walk forward (5 mins) to Richmond Gate..
Those driving by car can park inside the park (closest car park to Richmond Gate). It’s free parking. Then walk back to the gate and meet us.
Hern’s Tribe woodland rituals are `gatherings’ and generally organic. It’s best to arrive and flow with events..or even go exploring the woods. It is best to allow 4-5 hours for these events, so that you can have the best magical & communal experience.

BAGS in the Park :
-Please keep space tidy.. and your own belongings/ bags at a suitable place. It gets dark.. So ensure you can find them easily afterwards. But also ensure they are not in the way that others may trample over it in the dark!
-If you put anything on the altar, please remember to take it back..(and not anyone else’s item by mistake).
-Please don’t leave things behind.. we don;t always find them..when tidying up in dark..
HELP with tidying up/ taking rubbish back to bins is greatly appreciated.
CLOTHES / BLANKETS / SEATS:
-Please wear sensible outdoor cloths…waterproof is better..and good shoes (always) to walk in slippery or muddy surface. If you have a walking stick/ Magical Staff, do bring it, as it helps with walking in the woods – and you can use it in the ritual..!!

Our annual eco-event in London to observe Earth Hour! The idea is to switch off all non-essential electric appliances, lights.. So what better than to get to the park…some green space..and be in candle-light…with like-minded friends? !!
In the past we have facilitated a Candle-lit walk along the river Thames. This time, we are planning to gather in a local park – and have a circle of Candles around us, as we observe Earth Hour.
So come and join me and my Eco-friends ..from about 7.3pm onwards.. for meeting & greeting..and socialising. And around 8.30pm, when the actual Earth Hour begins.. we will gently go into a small meditation, followed by an Eco-Ceremony (may last abut 20-3omins). Then we shall continue with socials, an outdoor Picnic and merriment..
Venue: St.James Royal Park (open to public till 12 midnight!)
Transport: see park info : https://www.royalparks.org.uk/parks/st-jamess-park/visitor-information/opening-times-and-getting-here
Meeting point: `Inn the Park’ (outside this Restaurant in St.James Park).
Meeting time: Please be outside the `Inn the Park’ by 7.30pm, so we can gather walk up to a suitable spot in the park and do the eco-ceremony at 8.30pm. After that we can socialise (candle-lit picnic!!)
It is important, that while so many of us care about the Earth and eco-causes, and fight ever day to resolve make the problems of our World, we also must create time for being Happy, to connect with like-minded humans, strengthen our ties, power up one another’s motivations and spread hope – that the World will get better!!
Those will be the focus of the Ceremony. So people of any and all religions & faiths welcome.
There are no protests, no campaigns…no slogans.. Only a few evening hours of total positivity & peace.
All I ask is that those who come do so with an open & tolerant mind, and with peace & harmony in their hearts.
This is a family-friendly event. So do bring your small children .(wrap up warm though! It gets cold by the open spaces of the river Thames).
Do bring picnic food & drinks to share ..:-)
