Woodland witches Samhain 2019 v2 27aug19

 1. Woodland Witches Samhain

  • Sunday 27th October 2019
  • 4pm to 8pm
  • North London

SAMHAIN – the Pagan seasonal festival for honoring our ancestral spirits, seek wisdom from the spirits in the veil between worlds ! Our Outdoor Samhain is particularly intense because of the real dark (wet, windy) environment among trees and bushes that are already bare …! As evening falls, there is an eeriness that also becomes apparent.. Once at the ritual space, you will be immediately involved in the ritual – of the calling of the DarkLord, and communing with ancestors. Some divination work will commence before feasting.

This is an open ritual held in an outdoor park/woods with easy public access.. Out ritual Team will conduct the ceremony, with plenty of opportunities for everyone to get involved in the actual ritual.

Fixed Fee: £5. Pay The ferryman at the beginning of the event.

Meeting point: Please meet at The Woodman’s Pub (Archway Road) from 4.00pm. You will be led to the woods at 4.30pm by The Ferryman, for ritual.

Media policy:  Our media policy is quite firm – we allow NO filming, NO recording, No interviews at any of our events- for the sake of privacy of people attending and for them to celebrate/ worship without any such `performance’ pressures. We allow some photos *after* the ritual..for your own personal memories.. You may take pictures of altar and your self or your own friends, with permission. No photos / media may be used for any unauthorised use in books, websites or other forms of publications. If in doubt, contact me directly. Please help us keep these events a protected magical space for individual worship..as wicca and paganism are religious paths. Blessings. Mani (founder/ organiser)

Woodland Wiccan Samhain / Halloween 2015- Seasonal Open ritual in London

Join us for the evening to mark SAMHAIN – the night for honoring our ancestral spirits! Outdoor Samhain is particularly intense because of the real dark (wet, windy) environment among trees and bushes that are already bare …! As evening falls, there is an eeriness that also becomes apparent.. Once at the ritual space, you will be immediately involved in the ritual – of the calling of the DarkLord, and communing with ancestors. Some divination work will commence before feasting

“Samhain is a festival for the dead and ancestors. Death is seen as a transition from one phase of life to another (The Death Card in Tarot has similar meaning), or from one incarnation to the next. This rite invokes the God an Goddess of the underworld. The Dark Lord opens the gateway between our world and the underworld and invites all to feast (commune) with the dead. At Samhain the veil between world is thin, and so it is perfect time for the art of divination and mediumship. On a lighter side, apple bobbing from the cauldron is traditional. Samhain is seen as the New Year in Celtic traditions”. (taken from http://www.WitchcraftandMagic.uk )

Letting Go Ritual for Halloween/Samhain

For Samhain: A `Letting Go’ Ritual (taken from `e-Witch Apprentice Course’)

Halloween/ Samhain : A `Letting-go’ ceremony

This is a simple ritual that has an impact on a magical and transpersonal level. The act of doing the ritual is magical. The act also sends a strong message to your own subconscious mind, which in turn will begin a positive long term impact.

Usually people do these `letting go’ rituals at Samhain (Halloween) or on New Year’s Eve, as a way of letting go of their past issues and ties. However, as you embark on a new magical journey, it is equally appropriate to let go of the issues that weigh you down inwardly now.

There are those who will find this difficult to do, not the actual practical ritual itself but approaching the matter of making an effort to let go. Some people find it `comfortable’ to hold on to past issues, and cling to them as some sort of crutch. But letting go, even if this ritual is done half-heartedly, still creates the wonderful `avalanche effect’ of starting the process within.  You do not have to even believe it. Just do it!  (We are working in the realms of magic, after all!)

  1. You’ll need a large piece of blank paper, a pen, a small container to burn it in (a saucepan, if you do not have a cauldron), matches or lighter.
  2. On a piece of paper, write down the following (in no particular order or format): Worries and fears you currently have in your life; Problems you may face on health issues, financial, housing, career or work related. Issues on bullying/ harassment you may be facing, of politics, relationships, friendships, love, security; Matters of past guilt, shame, secrecy, fidelity, loyalty.
  3. Once writing is complete, hold the piece of paper to your chest and visualize those issues seeping out from your heart into the paper. You can also hold the paper to your forehead, and visualize the issues that have been worrying you, seeping from your mind and into the paper. For health issues, we suggest you hold the paper against your stomach and visualize those issues seeping into the paper. (You can do all 3 on the same paper).
  4. Now gently spit on the paper 3 times.
  5. Go to a ventilated location in your house – garden, veranda, balcony, or back-door (with door open). Slightly crunch the piece of paper into a loose ball. Light it with matches or lighter.
  6. Step back a little and watch it burn away completely. Let those energies that have tied you up till now be burned away by the powers of Fire, leaving you to begin an internal transformation. If there are any ashes left, you can bury them in the ground, or drop them into the toilet, urinate over and flush them down!!
