Tamesis Full Moon Ritual & Isidis Navigatum Ceremony 2018 (Thames London)

Let us come together and honour the Lady of the Moon, Goddess Isis – mother of Mystery & Magic, and Father Thames, and Tamesa the Serpent of London.. and blend it all and do magic at the Heart of London.

Isias Navigatum - march 2018

We are beginning a new cycle of Thames-based rituals in 2018, following their popularity. This time, we’ll be adding more magical aspects to these easy-going rituals – bringing Goddess Isis as a focus (Thames-Isis) and Father Thames, as well as exploring some Serpent/ Dragon magic (Thames is often seen as a giant water-serpent snaking through heart of London), and we’ll be adding eco-magic for well-being of London. All these are elements we have explored before, but now as a regular component of these Thames-based rituals.

No prior knowledge or experiences of wicca or ritual magic is necessary for you to attend this. Just come with an open mind. Be friendly and non-intrusive. Connect with others, and join in the ceremony.

Date: Friday 2nd March 2018

Duration:  8pm to 10.30pm

meeting point:

8.00pm by Seats near main door of Tate Modern Gallery (facing river). Ritual will be on river bank nearby (low tide at 21:04 so we must start ritual at 8.30pm). If you are late, come find us.

Outline:

-Preparing space & setting up Altar.
-Run-through- delegate any roles. Brief Q&A.
-Enter Ritual space with reverence.
-Opening prayers and /or Meditation
-Consecrations
-Casting magic Circle
-Calling elemental quarters
-Energy raising
-Invocations / prayers to Deities (Thames-Isis & Father Thames)
-Magical work (Serpents/ Dragons/ Eco-magic / personal)
-Cakes & Wine blessing
-Closing & Grounding work
– Feasting, Socialising…

Suggested donation : £3 appreciated. Thank you.

Meeting point:

Gather outside the Green area of Tate Modern Gallery (main doors). We’ll walk down to the banks of Thames and do this ceremony. If you are late, just find the steps, walk down to river bank, and join us. We’re usually under the concrete over-hang/ sheltered space. Thames & Tides:

Our rituals tale place on the actual river bank…just few meters away from the water, but in a secluded spot..where there is usually some sand. We organise these Thames-rituals after checking Port of London authority Thames Tide time tables.. to take place at low tide.. (At high tide the entire river bank is under many meters of water!!).
On this evening, low tide is at 9.04pm. Therefore we will get down to river bank and begin ritual at 8.30pm. It takes several hours for tide to come in.. so after ritual.. if we notice the tide turning ..we still have plenty of time to pack up and go up the steps to street level.

Safety:
The steps are slippery. bank of Thames after previous tide will be full of new things and sharp objects. Take extreme care with your own health & safety. You are responsible for your safety.
**No children allowed**
**Unfortunately the location is not suitable for anyone with walking disabilities**

What to bring:

• Please dress appropriate for weather! (we carry on Rituals regardless of weather).
• Please bring food & drinks to share ( bread & cheese / humus are a good start) and any soft drink/wine that you like to share with others in circle.
• a torchlight is a good idea. Feasting/ sharing food & Drinks:

After the ritual circle on the river bank is completed, some people leave for home. Others stay behind to socialise. We tend to go back up to street level, to the grassy green area outside Tate Modern Gallery and socialise/ share food & drinks.. If it’s raining, we just go to the nearby Pub within sight.

Bright Blessings

Organiser/ Wiccan High Priest

ps.————
am combining the `Isidias Navigatum ceremony with this one. we will be focusing on our hopes and wishes of good fortune and success as Spring approaches. A blue painted egg will be blessed by all and `planted’ into the soil as symbolic of Spring. elemental invocations will be said in Egyptian words. We will pour milk on the banks. As the final part of the ritual, a small replica boat(s) will be filled with spices and other magical items, and placed in the river as an offering to the Goddess Isis. Bring your own small boats! Be it paper boats or small scale models – to either sail them on the river Thames (19Feb’18)

Bright Blessings

Invoking Tamesa Serpent for Protection of Water (Thames Ritual 14Dec2016)

A call to all Eco-Magicians – to invoke the Tamesa Serpent..
(Ceremony for protection of water / sacred land by Standing Rock, USA).

As many will know by now …the proposed oil pipeline to be built under the river (Dakota, USA) has now been stopped. After months of fighting, gathering, standing together at Standing Rock.. many are happy for this victory.

However we all know `the system’…we know `the authorities’…and we know all about the cleverness of the multibillion dollar corporate & commercial organisations!
They will not give up so easily!
Already there are reports that some of those oil companies are just declaring that they will pay the daily fine of $50000 and keep on drilling etc. And many fear that Donald Trump (USA President Elect) will reverse Obama’s decision..once Trump himself gets into power…because he has millions invested in those companies himself. Others fear this is just a stalling through winter..and the drilling etc will resume in full force…supported by more cunning backup plans.. in Spring 2017.

When i first proposed to do a `Tamesa invocation ritual’ on 14th December ( I said that on 24th November)..the battle at Standing Rock was still going on.

Now it seems to be over.. Victory seems to have been gained.

While not wanting to be negative about this.. as a Magician.. I also have to listen to my intuition.. It tells me that a) Magic is not linear…and b) we must stay on the cause…not just for sake of Standing Rock in USA..but for all the Fracking that’s proposed in UK..

So this ritual will go ahead..on wednesday evening 14th December 2016..by the banks of River Thames…in Central London.

The Tide will be low around 8.30pm…so That’s the perfect time for this water ceremony.. Whatever magic we do and add to the waters of Thames.. will then be there as Tide comes in..and takes it away that night..and spread through the oceans..! Water connects the whole world.. water *is* most of our bodies.. As part of the ceremony.. I will be using waters collected over the years from various parts of the world.. I have small amounts from Australia, Niagara Falls, River Nile, Glastonbury White spring.. Feel free to bring waters from your local areas… We are merely helping the water spirits from across the globe to connect and strengthen..

With it..we’ll invoke the powers of the Tamesa Serpent/ Dragon (I’ve been doing Dragon magic for 20 years, and working with Thames energies for 10 years…so I hope those will come to our aids magically).

The ritual will be simple..
But it will take our mental and magical focus..
This is NOT a social.. This is Magic..this is work for us Magicians!

Date: Wednesday 14th December 2016

Metering point:  Tate Modern Green   (Meet by the Green area outside Tate Modern Gallery from 7pm.

Time: We’ll go down to river bank for Ritual at 8pm.  Event should end by 9pm..and we’ll conclude with a small social

What to bring:   Wear suitable outdoor warm/ dry clothing ..especially shoes/ boots with good grips as it gets slippery by river bank (als there may be sharp objects washed up).

Health & Safety:  You must take full responsibility for your own Health & safety.

This event is NOT suitable for children due to the slippery/ water environment at night.

Bright Blessings

The plan (subject to changes on the evening):

2.Then Mani (facilitator) will lead all to a nearby suitable spot along the Thames, to do the Ceremony for Samhain/ Ancestors. This is a serious but simple ceremony.. so children and non-pagans are all welcome.
3. After Ceremony (and more socials), we’ll have an informal candle-lit walk along the Thames-path (on pavement). The exact direction (towards Waterloo or towards London Bridge) will be announced at the meeting point.

Ritual content/ format:

-Simple consecration with salt/water & incense, followed by sacred-Magic circle casting, then calling the 4 elemental quarter energies.

– All communing silently (meditative) with their deceased ancestors/loved ones who have passed away.
-Burning of regrets/ sorrows in Cauldron (small pieces of paper..)

Bring some easy snacks & drinks to share on the way too..

Stay as long as you like.. and leave when you want to.

Safety note: No swords…no athames..or other `real’ weapons – or anything that might alarm the general public /police. We play safe and nice.. And you are responsible for your own good behaviour and health & safety!!

We do ask that you keep a watchful eye on your young children on the night. (If you bring your kids, that is).

With bright blessings
