Spring equinox is a time of new beginning and initiating enterprises. A time of reaching balance between Dark & Light.. day & night. It is a time of noticeable lengthening of daylight hours and quickening. Flowers blooming, trees sprouting buds and leaves. Astrologically, the Sun enters the firey sign of Aries. We work actively to balance the opposing forces in our lives, and a bit of personal `spring-cleaning’ internally, then explore the mystery of Spring, through the God-Goddess cycle. Mating and fertility rites are obviously being played out by all wildlife in nature at this moment.

Let us come together and honour the Lady of the Moon, Goddess Isis – mother of Mystery & Magic, and Father Thames, and Tamesa the Serpent of London.. and blend it all and do magic at the Heart of London.
We are beginning a new cycle of Thames-based rituals in 2018, following their popularity. This time, we’ll be adding more magical aspects to these easy-going rituals – bringing Goddess Isis as a focus (Thames-Isis) and Father Thames, as well as exploring some Serpent/ Dragon magic (Thames is often seen as a giant water-serpent snaking through heart of London), and we’ll be adding eco-magic for well-being of London. All these are elements we have explored before, but now as a regular component of these Thames-based rituals.
No prior knowledge or experiences of wicca or ritual magic is necessary for you to attend this. Just come with an open mind. Be friendly and non-intrusive. Connect with others, and join in the ceremony.
-Preparing space & setting up Altar.
-Run-through- delegate any roles. Brief Q&A.
-Enter Ritual space with reverence.
-Opening prayers and /or Meditation
-Casting magic Circle
-Calling elemental quarters
-Invocations / prayers to Deities (Thames-Isis & Father Thames)
-Magical work (Serpents/ Dragons/ Eco-magic / personal)
-Cakes & Wine blessing
-Closing & Grounding work
– Feasting, Socialising…
Suggested donation : £2 / £3 appreciated. Thank you.
Gather outside the Green area of Tate Modern Gallery (main doors). We’ll walk down to the banks of Thames and do this ceremony. If you are late, just find the steps, walk down to river bank, and join us. We’re usually under the concrete over-hang/ sheltered space. Thames & Tides:
Our rituals tale place on the actual river bank…just few meters away from the water, but in a secluded spot..where there is usually some sand. We organise these Thames-rituals after checking Port of London authority Thames Tide time tables.. to take place at low tide.. (At high tide the entire river bank is under many meters of water!!).
On this evening, low tide is at 8.30pm. It takes several hours for tide to come in.. so after ritual.. if we notice the tide turning ..we still have plenty of time to pack up and go up the steps to street level.
The steps are slippery. bank of Thames after previous tide will be full of new things and sharp objects. Take extreme care with your own health & safety. You are responsible for your safety.
**No children allowed**
**Unfortunately the location is not suitable for anyone with walking disabilities**
What to bring:
• Please dress appropriate for weather! (we carry on Rituals regardless of weather).
• Please bring food & drinks to share ( bread & cheese / humus are a good start) and any soft drink/wine that you like to share with others in circle.
• a torchlight is a good idea. Feasting/ sharing food & Drinks:
After the ritual circle on the river bank is completed, some people leave for home. Others stay behind to socialise. We tend to go back up to street level, to the grassy green area outside Tate Modern Gallery and socialise/ share food & drinks.. If it’s raining, we just go to the nearby Pub within sight.

31st of January/ 1st of February is when Pagans celebrate Imbolc – and honour the virgin Goddess Bride (Bridgett/ Breed). And London History tells us that the St.Bride’s church used to have a sacred well, and was a place of Bride worship (before Saint Bride’s work and it becoming a church). On this night we have a river-thames based full moon ritual ..and thought a candle-lit walk from St.Bride’s church doors along to Tate Modern Gallery area will be magical. So that we may take some of that healing energies and share it along the streets and bring it to river Thames.
(River Thames full moon ritual gathering is from 7,30pm – optional and set up as a separate event in our meetup. you may go home after candle-lit walk or stay for Tamesis full moon ritual).
The St.Bride’s church closes at 6pm. However, you can arrive at 5pm to have some quiet contemplation inside – if you personally choose to do so. You may visit the `Journalist/ media’ Altar, or stay in the main church area, look around, or even visit the crypt area and look at the exhibits & oldest part of the church. (They do 90min tours every tuesday. It costs £6 and is highly worth it – we’ll be doing an event for that another time..)
For our event, we gather at 6pm by the main gates of St.Brides church (enter from Fleet Street). Once we have everyone, we’ll be walking along the small alleyway to the left, go around the church clockwise, and find the open space behind the church – where you’ll find seats, as well as a circle of lights on the ground, around a pentagram drawn on concrete.
This is where we’ll begin our short ceremonial work..
Some poetry, blessing, and starting our candlelit walk.
We’ll complete the circle around the Church, back to main door..then to Fleet Street..and walk across Blackfriars bridge, turn left, and walk to arrive outside Tate Modern entrance facing river Thames.
Those interested may stay for our Tamesis Full moon ceremony (fee £3/£2).
The Path of Bride event is free.
Organiser/ Wiccan High Priest.
ps. In Spring, we’ll be organising a Diana ceremony in the area of St,Paul’s Cathedral – as history again tells us it used to be a place of worship for Diana the Greek Huntress- Goddess.
• What to bring
Please wrap up warm, and bring a jam jar/ lantern for candle-lit walk.. or battery operated lights are fine too. (I’ll have tea lights for lanterns).
• Important to know
Free event. This walk then links to our `Tamesis Full moon ceremony by river Thames at 7.30pm.

This is the 2nd Full moon in January 2018 (falls on 31st January). There is also a Solar Eclipse on the same time. A potent magical time indeed. So we will be taking full advantage of the brewing energies on the eve (night before) the Blue Moon. These are ideal for people interested in Wicca & Witchcraft. What to bring—————-:
***Please dress appropriate for weather!
*****Please DO bring food & drinks to share ( bread & cheese / humus are a good start) and any soft drink/wine that you like to share with others in circle.
** Our rituals start in twilight, but often end when it’s already nightfall.. So a torchlight is important.
** We sit on the ground! A simple ground sheet is effective (blankets get wet in winter). Or a stool.
– Your wand (if you have one)
– crystals, tarot etc.
– A robe/ cloak to wear (optional)
You may also wish to attend our New Moon rituals in North London, where we explore High Magic practise with a Wiccan ritual format.
Outdoors/ Elements & forces—————–:
These ritual circles take place in public Woodlands or parks. As they are outdoors, we are at the mercy of elements (sunshine, storms, snow, fog etc).. By being outdoors in nature regularly in a ritual setting, you’ll develop a real magical / psychic attunement & healthy respect to nature’s wild energies, as well as an inner confidence, outdoor ritual experience and dare I say.. empowerment and magical competence…
Policy on Bullying/ Harassment ——
We will not tolerate ANY bullying, Harassment or any form of sexual predatory behaviour. Please report such matters to Tutor asap.

DrWhoLondon: Child of Promise! What’s that got to do with Esoteric blogs & magic, you ask? Well.. as you know I have one foot in the real of sci-fi & fantasy, video film making etc. I started a DrWho fan series back in Winter 2013.. and it is full of occult & magical storylines and references. (we took a Dalek and filmed it on top of Glastonbury Tor and named it `Dalek-Om’ for haven’s sake.. and we have had meditating Cybermen in AfterLife !)
This story `Child of Promise’ is about some Alien Baby and Alien Archangels having a big ol adventure on Earth.. tangled up with our Occult Doctor (that’ll be me!).
I must confess.. in the 4 years we have been filming and editing these stories, some of our `stories’ have come true.. Like for example.. my sister giving birth to a baby boy on 21st December last year ..(day of Winter Solstice when we worship Sun-child / Child of promise). Well..apart from every child birth being magical.. why is this so significant, you ask?
Well.. I started working on this `Child of promise’ story.. a good 15 months *before* my little nephew was born. You do the calculations…and tell me that wasn’t our magical story manifesting! Not only that, last Christmas, the streets of London were full of decorations..in the form of Angels.. giant ones hovering above our heads in Piccadilly Circus and Oxford street and so on..
So yeah.. I wrote about it 15 months ago..and it came true..on both counts..bang on the day of Winter Solstice. (the story stalled and took a year for me to get back edit and upload).
This by far is the best example I can catalogue about my magic coming true.. So that’s why.. am sharing this here. enjoy.
Bright Solar Blessings
“The TARDIS breaks out of a wormhole, followed by strange artefacts, and crash lands on Earth. A naked man is found unconscious on woodland floor, in the throws of purple regeneration energy. Meanwhile a half metal-masked woman is stumbling in the woods, about to give birth. What connects the two is a mysteries metal horned alien. A guardian Angel or a soul stealing demon?
Note: There is some (male rear view) nudity & themes of child birth featured in this film. Those who may be easily offended by such are advised to refrain from watching this fan film.
This minisode is the prologue to our fan series#2.
Stay tuned to see another Doctor materialise in Earl’s Court with a new robot dog K90, and the coming of Archangels of Time.. on the hunt for The Child of Promise!

The Horned Goddess – photoshoot project!
Hi all.. Horns & Antlers are a power symbol in nature for many animals.. and used for protection. It’s not just sported by male animals.. The deer may only have males (stags) having elaborate Antlers.. but Cows, goats, sheep, Bulls..
also have horns..
In pagan spirituality, we honour and worship many horned God figures.. (Herne, Pan, cernunnos).. but few horned/ antlered Goddesses are seen.. (Elena, Baast).
I saw the art work that my friend posted on facebook ..(of a Horned Goddess image)..and it reminded me of my long term wish to create some new photographic images of Horned Goddess..
As you can see from attached pics, I’ve worn Antlers many times over the past 13-14 years ..(since my eh.. obsession(!) with Hern the Hunter started ..resulting in the founding of woodland ritual shamanic group Hern’s Tribe in 2004). But what I really like is to do now is build up plenty of images of women in Antlers & Horns..! So.. am hereby launching this project!
So what am I looking for?
1. Ladies who are interested in being `Horned Goddesses’
(ie dress up, put make up, wear costumes, shamanic props..and pose for photos in natural settings.. woodland..parks..riversides.. hills.. forts.. neolithic sites.. by castles..caves…etc).
–Age/ acting ability – all welcome.
–Magical/Pagan? – nope.. if you are happy to pose as Antlered Goddesses..then am not complaining. ..as long as you can take artistic directions.
2. Crew / Team of creative people – to get involved and help me co-create this. I have a vision..but need help. Make up artists, costume creators / lenders, prop-makers, drivers with cars, supporters! Location scouts..
3. Costs – let’s be creative and innovative..and keep costs to minimum.. Everyone involved can come out of this project with brilliant works for their portfolios, experiences. Unless we have someone who can be a generous Benefactor, or unless we set up a crowdfunder to cover costs.. we just have to cover our own expenses, own travel cards. Only exception will be if I drive out, then i can take 3 people (essential to that shoot) in my car.. (Crowd funding, some 2018 calendar sales are all possibilities.. but I like to get started with shoots soon).
While some planning/ development is needed, am not one for delaying this any longer.. Of course it will be ongoing throughout Autumn/ Winter and into Spring/Summer of 2018..but it starts NOW! 🙂 Let’s aim to get some of this done..in Autumn.. before all the leaves change colour and drop.. 🙂
If you are working with me..then be ready to run with the Horses & Stags.. or plod on with the Turtles.. My policy is …`shoot fast..and think later’ :-p
So don’t think too much.. Follow your intuition/ gut.. and jump in ..if interested..!
Reply to this message and I’ll start coordinating..or send me a private message ..or to one of my pagan `pages’ and we’ll take it from there.
Bright Earthy Blessings
ps. I posted this on my facebook wall on 5th October 2017. It’s been a while but have been getting 15+ interested people/ ladies already. So it’s time to plan further.
Contact me by sending me a message using form below please so I can communicate directly with you via e-mails etc. You have to be able to get to London or nearby so I can get to you..(1-2 hrs by car).

We will be gathering outside the Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre (riverside gate) / Bankside Pier area at 7.30pm. After designating ritual roles, getting our lanterns & costumes setup, we’ll begin a slow and social walk along bankside..
We’ll be walking along south bank riverside walk… from Globe Theatre, past Millennium bridge (south side), Tate Modern Gallery, Blackfriars overground station / bridge, Oxo Tower, Gabriel’s Wharf, and finally end just outside National Theatre. Our Halloween ceremony is expected to be held in the open public circular concrete `performance’ area along the riverside (see photo attached)- this is subject to local circumstances, other crowd etc.If it’s not possible there, we’ll be nearby so keep an eye out.
Meeting time/ shedule:
Please get to outside steps of Shakespear’s Globe Theatre / Bankside pier by 7.30pm. We’ll get organised and begin walk at 8pm. We hope the 1000m walk will only take us about 1 hour at an extremely leisurely procession/ festive walking speed. 🙂 So we’ll be gathering outside the National Theatre area (end of walk) by 9pm..and do a short Samhain ritual by about 9.15pm. Then we’ll continue socialising.
Due to the public space, the ritual team will be organised in advance ..so we can arrive at end point and perform the ritual without much fuss. There is bound to be general public watching.. so we’ll be asking experienced ritualists to help in advance ( 1 week before) to volunteer for parts and get ritual prepared.. and be in costume../ masks.
**More details of actual ritual near the time** (come back and check here near the time or join our meetup event Tamesa Halloween 2017
How to find us: There’ll be a number of us ..gathering by the Globe Theatre area by river. We’ll already be in ceremonial clothing (robes, cloaks), wearing Samhain ritual masks, carrying lanterns, staff etc.. (strictly no swords…no knife!!)

-Please bring small picnic-style food and drinks to share.
-Bring things for self.. and if feeling generous, something to share with others..
Safety notes: Everyone is asked to take extra care with their own personal safety as we’ll be in a busy public place. Keep valuables with you at all times.. or with a trusted friend who is not playing a big role in ritual. beware of thieves/ pickpockets, any silly protesters (who don’t like pagans) and may try to cause a wrangle. If this happens..just step away from it.. do not be baited.. and just get out asap…and get far away to a safer place.
No swords…no athames..or other `real’ weapons – or anything that might alarm the general public /police. We play safe and nice.. And you are responsible for your own good behaviour and health & safety!!
With bright blessings
– Mani Navasothy
