(personal thoughts on Purification, healing & Creative inspiration as 3 gifts of Bride). .

World has been dangling on the edge of a cliff. So many worries and fears. So I’ve been deeply contemplative about what kind of magic needs doing on our parts to help it be safe .. as well as put energy to getting rid of tyranny and ‘powermad conspirators’. A phrase the 6th doctor (Drwho).. once used and it seems so appropriate now ..

With Imbolc comes the 3 flames as gifts of the Goddess Bridget …. purification, healing, creativity (poems, smithcraft, weaving).

In ‘my’ Woodland Witches Imbolc rituals in the past, I’ve used the melting of ice as a key in magic. A block of ice is passed around for people to put in magically things they lik to be melted and flow ..the ice block is then put on the centre to melt as we carry on the rest of the itual.(Consecrations, circle, elements, calling Goddess, and other magical works). The ice takes ages to melt as end of January is still very cold.. we usually bury the half melted Ice in the soil and go home. Let nature take care of it.

This time (woodland Imbolc on 31st), I am intending to use this ‘tool’ for some direct magic .. the word ice (ICE) has become negatively and fearfully associated now.. thanks to the brutality of American thugs on their own people.

I am reminded of the word Isis (ISIS) becoming associated with middle eastern terrorism few years ago. I was already doing Thames-Isis rituals, and had to keep doing goddess Isis magic to counter that .(As a cause, I always used the 2 words ‘Goddess Isis’ ritual .. in my event write ups and titles in blogs etc. Am sure the odd federal agency would have looked at my blogs in that time as a matter of concern ..

Anyway the magic at Imbolc is 3 fold. With that in mind…

Purification

The brutality and lawlessness of the militant ICE agents will be targeted and willed to be melted.. flames will be placed around block of ice to melt it quickly . (Yes I worried about indirectly targeting polar ice caps melting. But we shall be very precise on this magic). Purification is all about cleansing something and removing dirt and foreign substances so the content at hand is singular and free of pollutants and other materials. Maybe the hearts and minds of people in power needs purifying.

Healing

so much fear abounds in ordinary people at the moment. Lives have been lost. People are in fear. International peace (West at least) has been seriously disturbed (yes all this ..in addition to all the other atrocities of the world). .

So healing work needs to help all who have suffered. We must generate healing energy and send it out.. Am wondering how this can be done. Maybe lighting tea lights and some sigils drawn .. adding peace and love , and let those carry on burning on our altar perhaps.

Creativity & forging

the 3rd gift of Imbolc goddess Bride / Bridget. This can be personal. Each person doing some cord magic to weave in intentions of their own creativity, to be inspired, to be inspirational, and forge ahead in 2026 with positive happy lives. .??!!!

These are magical workings we will be doing in our wooden Imbolc ritual in a few days. As I am working on the ritual script .. I thought this matter is apt for all to mull mover. And have some open discussions perhaps?

I do believe that as Witches and magicians, we occupy a unique position on the world stage. We can take magical actions.. quickly and without needing millions of pounds and a militia support..
