Come gather in the woods for our Witchy Autumn Equinox Ceremony! We’ll create Sacred space, walk the Spiral, light a candle for our dark-time journeys ahead. We’ll also be seeking the Blessings of Hades & Persephone, to aid us through coming autumn/ winter… (This will be rather gentle encounter with Hades, Lord of the Underworld, as later in the year for Samhain, we’ll be facing the Dark Lord again in his role as the leader of the Wild Hunt – of souls).

Walking the Labyrinth:
A ground Labyrinth will be ready at the ritual spot, as before. After consecrations, You will be invited to walk the Labyrinth in a meditative state. At the centre, you may have a moment to contemplate the coming of dark half of the year.

No previous experiences or knowledge of wicca/ paganism/ magic is needed. Out ritualfacilitators will give a brief outline of what we do at the start, and conduct key aspects of the ceremony, with plenty of opportunities for everyone to get involved in the actual ritual.

Your participations – what to expect:
At our rituals, You can expect to participate by doing some of the following: (varies for each ceremony).

• Most of our rituals take place with all of us standing in a large circle around the altar, while a ritual performance takes place in the middle with ritual team. They will lead you in some ceremonial activities as part of the ritual.
• Be consecrated with incense or sage stick smoke, and sprinkled with some blessed salt/water.
• Take part in guided visualisations or pathworking journeys (cretive imaginary journey swhile eyes are closed for 3-5minutes to connect with woodland or other energies)
• Joining in with some call-outs (too call element energies like air, fire, water, earth, spirit).
• Join in with some energy raising chants, and move in a circle around altar area.. with some drums and rattles/ bells.
• Walk upto the Altar where team may be dressed and taking on ceremonial god/ goddess roles. You may greet them, bow or hug or ask of a blessing etc. They may offer a token gift to you (candle, seeds, crystal, a charm etc).
• You may be led in some ritual magic – silently making wishes and lighting a candle on altar or taking candle (provided) home.
• Partaking of blessing food & drinks (repeat words ) and then share in the food & drinks.

After ritual (feasting & socials):

• After main ceremony is finished, we `close the circle’ and can sit on ground sheets provided (or your own cushions/ seats). We share foods & drinks, and will end up having social conversations. Don’t be shy – but be respectful of other people.
• Our team members will help a little with social chats and get you connected in a gentl way so you can join in and make some friendships. You can ask questions about Wicca, paganism or some aspects of the ritual that has just happened. Team members will answer as much as they know to be helpful to new seekers. (but please no ego or show off or arguments!)
• you can leave any time after the ritual is finished. (tru not to leave during ritual as that `breaks’ the sacred space and can cause energy to be messed up for others ).

Fee: £7 ( £5 concession) – CASH only at event!
fees collected at the start of the ceremony.

Venue: Queen’s Wood, High Gate.
These events are held in a public Open woods, with rough terrain, and in natural weather conditions .

Meeting point & arrival etiquette:

• Gather at The entrance to Queen’s Woods. (Queenswood Road, N6 5UU). From 3.30pm.. we’ll meet people , walk into woods, and start ritual at 4pm!

• Please plan your journey in advance by checking for train/bus timetables, google map for location etc. Late arrivals and last minute enquiries create delays in ritual.
• Please do not come to ritual spot, while team is preparing. We prefer to meet everyone together by the road entrance to Woods and process you to ritual spot when we have set up altar etc. thanks.

What to bring: (OPTIONAL) –

• sensible warm water proof coat/ shoes/clothing
• small ground sheet/ blanket to sit on for social.
• Your ritual cloths/ robes/ cloaks
• Staff / wands / antlers / tribal masks
• Drums & musical instruments
• Your own Cups/chalice to drink from
• Food / drinks to share
