Love spells.. not something every seasoned Witch or magician admits to ..or even approves of. But it is something more or less any novice starting out in magic – or even those who don’t do magic – will have tried – at some point or other! 🙂
Yes, you are not supposed to put a spell on the object (person) of your desires, and magically force them against their will, to fall in love with you! That sort of thing is rather against the `rules’ (which does not mean you can’t break the rules and just do it anyway.. I mean who is watching? The Magic police? Your Guru? God? Angels..? Well, all of them probably! )
Leaving the politics out of this, lets see what you CAN do.. 🙂 You can do a spell for love to find you.. or make yourself open to love..and new relationship.. you can ask for the blessings some of the Gods & Goddesses who watch and govern over this area.. of love & lust!
Yes, you read right.. lust too. We are all ruled by our sexual desires.. and yet many hide it. (That’s another topic for debate).
Few days ago, in our Woodland Wicca Circle (full moon, monthly), we did a themed ritual – and did a little bit of `love magic’. I came up with some chants that were used to power-up and imbue pink candles with the energies of Aphrodite goddess of love and beauty, and Pan- woodland god of nature and lust! So many people have been attracted to these two specific deities.. in so far as love is concerned. But (warning)- in all mythologies, these two deities are often depicted as having many love affairs and relationships – short term ones.. with gods and men, and even animals..(that’s Pan for you).
So it’s not quite the sort of deity I would personally pick for a love spell to find a life-long committed partner! But it is one I’d pick..for a titillating new relationship to come your way, or to open up the hearts that have lost the idea of free flowing and joys of loving, flirting, and sexual fulfilment. And if those lead to long term relationships, that’s all good..!
So.. the choice is yours!
This particular Valentine Day is astrologically special.. There is a full moon on that exact day..and it is in the sign of Leo. Now full moons are known for frothing up a lot of feelings, increasing psychic awareness. Leo is a fire sign…one that is very generous, proud, leisure seeking, takes a risk / gamble. So this heady mixture of full moon in Leo on a Valentine day is going to be one personal love storm being whipped up!
Tune in to that energy if you like..but be wise..and be safe!
Right then, here are those two chants.. How you can proceed is to hold a candle in your hand, think of the deity and speak the chant over the candle.. put that energy into the candle.. Do this for both chants..thereby bringing both those energies in.
Pan Chant:
“Pan, Pan
Io Pan,
Pan, Pan, Pan
Woodland God
Horn-ed Beast
Come and join our Feast!”
Here is a the Venus / Aphrodite chant:
“Aphrodite from the Sea
Bring your love & joy to me.”
(or the group version)
“Venus, we love thee
Fill our hearts with glee..”
If you wish you can then carve a male-female symbol into the candle..for uniting those energies..
Now have a think about what you want.. (and I am not putting any conditions or rules.. You can be the judge and moral compass of your own actions..). Now light a candle! And let it do the magic!
Simple? Yes.. Magical.. At this time.. exceptionally so!
