Don’t you just get tired.. of accepting a `friend’ request..and within a minute (or a day, if you are lucky) you get a post or ten..from your `new’ friend.. a 3rd party link, a funny picture, a video, a joke, a poke, a product promotion, a `like my page’ request, an invite to play a game.. buy a `really cool..must have App’ and so on?
Well, will you or them do that ..if they just met you in a party? in the streets? In a relative’s home? In a wedding?
Only Salesmen and saleswomen pull out their tricks of promotions and rewards…within 30 seconds of saying that first hello to you.. Time is money..and they work the averages..It’s a number game!
Well..what are YOU trying to achieve? Build up an army of `friends’? and when you do…who will you actually phone ..when say..you just had a car accident, or your heart just broke..or you just lost your pet tropical fish..or ..you just saw the girl/ guy in the street and fell in love and must have friend support?
Social networking may have started in someone’s dorm.. a down to earth, human place.. of fun, flirts and study! But it’s now pushed and managed by marketing gurus and media moguls..
The more you like, share, post…more you are helping them to grow their empire..and bank balance!
And if you are trying to have a similar piece of the action..good luck.. it’s possible.. but that takes time.. and you ain’t gonna get `your empire’ up and growing..by spamming your new found friend..!!
So do the world a big nice thing.. follow these simple real life friendship building ways.. yes, on social networking too.. Behind those pixels, pictures, links, posts and pages.. there are real human people.. and some of them would like real friends…:-)
