Woodland Spring Equinox Gathering & Open ritual 2018

Spring equinox is a time of new beginning and initiating enterprises. A time of reaching balance between Dark & Light.. day & night. It is a time of noticeable lengthening of daylight hours and quickening. Flowers blooming, trees sprouting buds and leaves. Astrologically, the Sun enters the firey sign of Aries. We work actively to balance the opposing forces in our lives, and a bit of personal `spring-cleaning’ internally, then explore the mystery of Spring, through the God-Goddess cycle. Mating and fertility rites are obviously being played out by all wildlife in nature at this moment.

Tamesis Full Moon Ritual & Isidis Navigatum Ceremony 2018 (Thames London)

Let us come together and honour the Lady of the Moon, Goddess Isis – mother of Mystery & Magic, and Father Thames, and Tamesa the Serpent of London.. and blend it all and do magic at the Heart of London.

Isias Navigatum - march 2018

We are beginning a new cycle of Thames-based rituals in 2018, following their popularity. This time, we’ll be adding more magical aspects to these easy-going rituals – bringing Goddess Isis as a focus (Thames-Isis) and Father Thames, as well as exploring some Serpent/ Dragon magic (Thames is often seen as a giant water-serpent snaking through heart of London), and we’ll be adding eco-magic for well-being of London. All these are elements we have explored before, but now as a regular component of these Thames-based rituals.

No prior knowledge or experiences of wicca or ritual magic is necessary for you to attend this. Just come with an open mind. Be friendly and non-intrusive. Connect with others, and join in the ceremony.

Date: Friday 2nd March 2018

Duration:  8pm to 10.30pm

meeting point:

8.00pm by Seats near main door of Tate Modern Gallery (facing river). Ritual will be on river bank nearby (low tide at 21:04 so we must start ritual at 8.30pm). If you are late, come find us.

Outline:

-Preparing space & setting up Altar.
-Run-through- delegate any roles. Brief Q&A.
-Enter Ritual space with reverence.
-Opening prayers and /or Meditation
-Consecrations
-Casting magic Circle
-Calling elemental quarters
-Energy raising
-Invocations / prayers to Deities (Thames-Isis & Father Thames)
-Magical work (Serpents/ Dragons/ Eco-magic / personal)
-Cakes & Wine blessing
-Closing & Grounding work
– Feasting, Socialising…

Suggested donation : £3 appreciated. Thank you.

Meeting point:

Gather outside the Green area of Tate Modern Gallery (main doors). We’ll walk down to the banks of Thames and do this ceremony. If you are late, just find the steps, walk down to river bank, and join us. We’re usually under the concrete over-hang/ sheltered space. Thames & Tides:

Our rituals tale place on the actual river bank…just few meters away from the water, but in a secluded spot..where there is usually some sand. We organise these Thames-rituals after checking Port of London authority Thames Tide time tables.. to take place at low tide.. (At high tide the entire river bank is under many meters of water!!).
On this evening, low tide is at 9.04pm. Therefore we will get down to river bank and begin ritual at 8.30pm. It takes several hours for tide to come in.. so after ritual.. if we notice the tide turning ..we still have plenty of time to pack up and go up the steps to street level.

Safety:
The steps are slippery. bank of Thames after previous tide will be full of new things and sharp objects. Take extreme care with your own health & safety. You are responsible for your safety.
**No children allowed**
**Unfortunately the location is not suitable for anyone with walking disabilities**

What to bring:

• Please dress appropriate for weather! (we carry on Rituals regardless of weather).
• Please bring food & drinks to share ( bread & cheese / humus are a good start) and any soft drink/wine that you like to share with others in circle.
• a torchlight is a good idea. Feasting/ sharing food & Drinks:

After the ritual circle on the river bank is completed, some people leave for home. Others stay behind to socialise. We tend to go back up to street level, to the grassy green area outside Tate Modern Gallery and socialise/ share food & drinks.. If it’s raining, we just go to the nearby Pub within sight.

Bright Blessings
-Mani Navasothy

Organiser/ Wiccan High Priest

ps.————
am combining the `Isidias Navigatum ceremony with this one. we will be focusing on our hopes and wishes of good fortune and success as Spring approaches. A blue painted egg will be blessed by all and `planted’ into the soil as symbolic of Spring. elemental invocations will be said in Egyptian words. We will pour milk on the banks. As the final part of the ritual, a small replica boat(s) will be filled with spices and other magical items, and placed in the river as an offering to the Goddess Isis. Bring your own small boats! Be it paper boats or small scale models – to either sail them on the river Thames (19Feb’18)

Path of Bride (Candle-lit walk from St.Brides church to river Thames) 31st Jan’18

31st of January/ 1st of February is when Pagans celebrate Imbolc – and honour the virgin Goddess Bride (Bridgett/ Breed). And London History tells us that the St.Bride’s church used to have a sacred well, and was a place of Bride worship (before Saint Bride’s work and it becoming a church). On this night we have a river-thames based full moon ritual ..and thought a candle-lit walk from St.Bride’s church doors along to Tate Modern Gallery area will be magical. So that we may take some of that healing energies and share it along the streets and bring it to river Thames.
(River Thames full moon ritual gathering is from 7,30pm – optional and set up as a separate event in our meetup. you may go home after candle-lit walk or stay for Tamesis full moon ritual).

St Bride candle blessing

The St.Bride’s church closes at 6pm. However, you can arrive at 5pm to have some quiet contemplation inside – if you personally choose to do so. You may visit the `Journalist/ media’ Altar, or stay in the main church area, look around, or even visit the crypt area and look at the exhibits & oldest part of the church. (They do 90min tours every tuesday. It costs £6 and is highly worth it – we’ll be doing an event for that another time..)

For our event, we gather at 6pm by the main gates of St.Brides church (enter from Fleet Street). Once we have everyone, we’ll be walking along the small alleyway to the left, go around the church clockwise, and find the open space behind the church – where you’ll find seats, as well as a circle of lights on the ground, around a pentagram drawn on concrete.

This is where we’ll begin our short ceremonial work..
Some poetry, blessing, and starting our candlelit walk.
We’ll complete the circle around the Church, back to main door..then to Fleet Street..and walk across Blackfriars bridge, turn left, and walk to arrive outside Tate Modern entrance facing river Thames.

Those interested may stay for our Tamesis Full moon ceremony (fee £3/£2).

The Path of Bride event is free.

Bright BrideBlessings
-Mani Navasothy

Organiser/ Wiccan High Priest.

ps. In Spring, we’ll be organising a Diana ceremony in the area of St,Paul’s Cathedral – as history again tells us it used to be a place of worship for Diana the Greek Huntress- Goddess.

• What to bring
Please wrap up warm, and bring a jam jar/ lantern for candle-lit walk.. or battery operated lights are fine too. (I’ll have tea lights for lanterns).

• Important to know
Free event. This walk then links to our `Tamesis Full moon ceremony by river Thames at 7.30pm.

Astrology: Jovial Transits in 2018 (part1)

Jovial Transits in 2018 (that’s Jupiter stuff!!) – part1

Well I meant to do this last week..but didn’t and have missed mentioning some brilliant Jupiter aspects / transits already..but here goes..
Basically looking at the ephemeris for any big aspects between social/ transpersonal / outer planets.. I noticed that in 2018, Jupiter is the one dominating it in this respect.
here’s an incomplete list..covering first few months.. (have’t completed my studies on this).
Jupiter transits

It all started when i was 7..
No ..with the 7th seal..
no..no..
On the 7th January 2018, the first of the Jupiter aspects took place.. (Mars conjunct Jupiter in Scorpio – which in the old days was ruled by Mars.. ). I managed to do some number-square-candle magic with a cauldron of natural spring water in it.. and it was actually very powerful.. (more on that another time).

8th jan- Sun sextiled Jupiter; 🙂 Venus sextiled Jupiter. 🙂

14th Jan- well..bit of a sharp one with Mercury semi-squirting Jupiter :-/

And this night (16th January) at 4:13am, Jupiter-sextiles-Pluto ..Yeap! And it’s going to repeat this (retrograde motion and all) on 14th April, and then for a 3rd and final time on 12th September..!!

25th jan- mercury sextiles Jupiter.

13th March – Jupiter Trines Sun. 🙂 Very good one.
But
14th March – Jupiter- semi-square-Saturn (only tough aspect in 2018 to occur between 2 larger planets).

zipping forward, 17th April- Venus trines Pluto (nothing t do with Jupiter.. but it’s a highly positive aspect).

20th May- BIG one.. Jupiter(R) trines Neptune (2nd time..as first time was in 2017). This will happen again for a 3rd time on 19th August (Jupiter is direct by then).

1st June- Venus- trines- Jupiter (yikes…can it get that good? 2 of the most benefic planets smoochin it up!)

What;s it all mean?
well. I only know what goes on when they hit me first.. about 24 hrs before it happens.. It’s why my forecasts are last-minute 😉 If they don’t talk to me..I don’t write forecasts..
Am more of an AstroMage.. I do ritual magic at astrologically opportune moments to stellar engineer my life..
(Damn it I’ve just given away my best secret…blooming Jupiter-Pluto thinggy!!)

so what will I be doing at 4.13am? it starts with an S..
Sex?…Sleep?..Star-Magic? have a guess! Am giving away all my secrets in one post ya know.. 8-|

ps. below is an art work I painted using a graphics software 🙂

Happy Thai Pongal wishes to all!

Happy Thai Pongal wishes to all my friends, fans and family around the world. Pongal is technically the first day of the Tamil new year.

Happy Thai pongal 2018

Traditionally On this day we honour the Sun god, bless crops and fields..and symbolically do work in the fields. Following day is Mattu-Pongal.. (Madu / Mattu means Cow in Tamil.. and it is a day to honour the 2nd most important thing for a farmer, next to The Sun.. which is cows/ cattle).

Those celebrating will be getting up early, have a shower, wear clean / new cloths, visit temple, and also cook milk-rice in the light of the Sun.. offer it to the Gods..then share in the meal with family and friends. `Pongal’ is the act of the boiling milk-rice frothing to the surface in the pot.. and it also is the name of the milk-rice dish itself.. It is the act of the auspicious cooking completion (as food is sacred and a blessing).

Thai is the Tamil name of the first month of the year.
so it all means the first boiling and cooking of the meal on the first day of the first month of the new year.

Manifesting The Child of Promise & Angels of London – how a video play became real!

DrWhoLondon: Child of Promise!   What’s that got to do with Esoteric blogs & magic, you ask?  Well..  as you know I have one foot in the real  of sci-fi & fantasy, video film making etc. I started a DrWho fan series back in Winter 2013..  and it is full of occult & magical storylines and references.  (we took a Dalek and filmed it on top of Glastonbury Tor and named it `Dalek-Om’ for haven’s sake..  and we have had meditating Cybermen in AfterLife !)

This story `Child of Promise’ is about some Alien Baby and Alien Archangels having  a big ol adventure on Earth..  tangled up with our Occult Doctor (that’ll be me!).

I must confess..  in the 4 years we have been filming and editing these stories, some of our `stories’ have come true..  Like for example.. my sister giving birth to a baby boy on 21st December last year ..(day of Winter Solstice  when we worship Sun-child / Child of promise).   Well..apart from every child birth being magical..  why is this so significant, you ask?

Well..  I started working on this `Child of promise’ story..  a good  15 months *before* my little nephew was born.  You do the calculations…and tell me that wasn’t our magical story manifesting!  Not only that, last Christmas, the streets of London were full of decorations..in the form of Angels..  giant ones hovering above our heads in Piccadilly Circus and Oxford street and so on..

So yeah..  I wrote about it 15 months ago..and it came true..on both counts..bang on the day of Winter Solstice.   (the story stalled and took a year for me to get back edit and upload).

This by far is the best example I can catalogue about my magic coming true..  So that’s why..  am sharing this here.   enjoy.

Bright Solar Blessings

-Mani Navasothy

“The TARDIS breaks out of a wormhole, followed by strange artefacts, and crash lands on Earth. A naked man is found unconscious on woodland floor, in the throws of purple regeneration energy. Meanwhile a half metal-masked woman is stumbling in the woods, about to give birth. What connects the two is a mysteries metal horned alien. A guardian Angel or a soul stealing demon?

Note: There is some (male rear view) nudity & themes of child birth featured in this film. Those who may be easily offended by such are advised to refrain from watching this fan film.
