Fixing that King Charles portrait! A blog by Mani!

Everyone’s seen the new portrait created of King Charles – I have absolutely hated that work from the moment I saw that! And what came after was worse. The internet has been full of jokers making fun of it.. everything from Ghostbusters movie reference to Dracula and more.

So I’ve colourised it with my own ideas of how it could be. Plenty of greens and gold – healing colours of nature and Sun, and some royal blues.. and some illumination from that butterfly.. the light of which falls on Charles’ face and clothing!

Am sure the anti-Royals will have a go at me.

But .. am protecting my King! Always have.

Way back in 2004 or 2005, my ritual group Hern’s Tribe was scheduled to do a Hern the Hunter ceremony in Windsor great park, when Charles & Camila wedding was moved from the day before to that day. We all still went to the wood and did our Ceremony for the woodland God, and for the wellness of land. And because of the way it all happened – I had seen is as a `sign’ and always given him my best regard… and was biding my time till he was King. And it took almost 2 decades further. And when the late Queen Elizabeth died, I went to Windsor (day before her funeral date) to perform my own Hern ritual for the wellness of the land and King.. I was merely following the Windsor-Hern myth.

So in the same lines of magical threads, when that god-awful reddish portrait of King Charles appeared, I knew I had to fix it.

And I have now.
